Orpheum Children’s Science Museum Lobby and Mezzanine Restoration

*Adaptive Use Heritage Award Winner* This historic preservation project recreated the missing and damaged plaster mouldings that decorated the interior, repaired or replaced all surfaces in the lobby and mezzanine areas, and adapted the floor plan to meet the functional requirements of a children’s science museum. In its heyday, this turn-of-the-century downtown theatre hosted many prominent vaudeville acts, including Jack Benny and the Marx Brothers.
