Early 20th Century Kitchen Upgrade

A cramped, one-person kitchen layout was transformed to a multi-user space with increased countertop area by eliminating a window and relocating appliances.  The downdraft stove was eliminated in favor of a standard stove with better functioning overhead venting.  Although thoroughly modern, the home’s era is referenced in the installation of real linoleum flooring and subway tile.
