Craftsman Whole House Remodel
Sidell, IL
This turn-of-the-century, craftsman style home was moved from its original location to the property just down the road as part of an extensive family farmstead renovation project. Practically every square inch of the interior and exterior of the house was either restored or renovated. Just a few of the unique features of the home include: composite, shake, roof shingles made of recycled material; factory finished, fiber cement siding and exterior trim; an energy efficient heat pump heating and cooling system; linoleum flooring in the kitchen; original interior trim, doors and hardwood flooring; and custom built, quarter-sawn casework with window seat that allows for the required headroom in the new basement stairwell below the living room.
