Sometimes accidents present homeowners with emergency accessibility issues. This ramp was built in response to an accident, but the homeowners have found it helpful for day-to-day use as well.
The garage ramp led into a laundry area with a concrete floor.
The laundry room had a step that required a second ramp. We began by cutting the floor of the ramp around the heating vent.
Though it looks narrow in the picture, the ramp is big enough for a wheelchair to go up the first part of the ramp, turn on the flat area, and continue on into the house.
